if you are concerned about potential chaos that any darkness may inflict, remember that there are many more of us than them, and in our unity they stand no chance to cause any further harm [our division is what they need in order to retain power]. let us let go of any divisive thoughts and remain united together, from the place of our collective heart.  as we come from a place of compassion & unconditional love, and see that we have more in common than different, we will grow together in our collective humanity, and a beautiful new earth & reality will unfold before us.  remember that this outer world is a projection of our inner world.  if we want to experience life in a peaceful world, we must begin by choosing to live from a place of peace within.  each of our individual choices of peace & unity (over division) is a prayer.

in challenging times some may wish to simply go back to what used to be normal.. though why limit yourself to the past, when there’s always the option to choose to create something far better in the present and future? take some time to sit quietly right now, and feel in your heart what the highest vision of the future looks like.

remember, that when reading, hearing, or watching anything, to listen carefully to your own heart to see what aspects resonate with you.  even if you do believe a lot or most of what someone is saying, don't just accept everything else they say if those parts aren't true to you.  at the same time, don't completely disregard someone if a part of what they are saying isn't something you believe or like.  take whatever resonates with you (or what you feel you need to hear) and leave the rest.  sometimes the divine speaks to us through others, but the message may not always be in the exact words they are saying.  listen from your heart, and you'll know what is real and what is meant for you.  and if you feel triggered or upset (or something else) when listening from the heart, the message may have simply been what you needed to hear in order to experience and release an emotion that was trapped within.  a greater part of the truth happens through feeling, rather than through thinking or understanding with the mind.

i redid these shots that i had previously posted (using the low res preview images) on instagram. this was the second time i intentionally took the dji mavic mini out to shoot video clips [during the first few weeks i had it, other than a couple of test videos clips, i only shot photos]. it was windy and they’re not perfect, but a good example of how i’d like some of my work to look.

sometimes the best things in life are the simplest.  relax, and allow yourself to take it all in.

i ended up #flying my #dji #mavicmini here, as i wasn’t seeing good parking close to where i originally wanted to fly (and i still have the max distance set to the default limit, which is under 1600 ft, so i couldn’t make it all the way to where i wanted the #mavic #mini to be.. and i didn’t want to extend this limit as the battery on the #rc was almost empty). i’ll have to go back there another time when the water isn’t overexposed from backlighting. the #desaturated look could be better (i’m only quickly editing these in the #instagram app on my small phone screen). #flying #quadcopter #drone #aerial #nature #fromabove #park #water #gulf #landscape
#nature #water #landscape #river #land #park #lookingdown #fromabove #flying #dji #mavic #mini #quadcopter #drone #aerialphotography #aerial #florida .. i filled up and downloaded the micro-sd card for the first time since i got #mavicmini, and quickly edited these in #adobe #lightroom instead of on my iphone like i had been doing with all the previous shots i took with it.  since the beginning of the month/year/decade, i’ve been photographing and posting something at least once per day, editing all on my phone except for these and the infrared ones (as that memory card also filled up while shooting those), though think i’m not going to keep forcing myself to take and post something daily.  the workflow and interface is so much nicer on a computer compared to going through hundreds of shots on a tiny phone screen, and, although i’ve been able to get good images (despite bad light and weather some days), creativity (like anything else in life) flows so much better when one is inspired and relaxed (rather than trying to force oneself to do something, especially at or within a limited time period). i think soon i'll start to experiment with shooting video clips on the mavic mini as, other than two video clips i didn't post (one of which i think i shot by accident), i've only been shooting photos in the timed interval shot mode (which also makes sorting through photos difficult as there are so many (and composition may not be ideal on many of them), though it will allow me to later put everything into a time-lapse video of all my flights). it'll also be good to play around with not always flying so high and using the mavic mini more for its smooth camera movements via gimbal stabilization rather than for its aerial perspectives.  its great how much one can do with a flying camera.  i remember many years ago wanting to be able to just set a camera out in front of me and have it stay there without a tripod.. its nice to see this idea have manifested into radio-controlled quadcopters with stabilized cameras (and now pocket-sized too!)

more photos while practicing #flying the #dji #mavic #mini #quadcopter #drone.  shot using timed shot interval mode, so more of what i happened to get rather than carefully composed.

in the last shot, one can see the intracoastal, dunedin causeway, and honeymoon island, 4 to 7.5 miles away by air.  at the left of the image one can see buildings on clearwater beach, over 10 miles away.  even on the low resolution instagram photo hints of this are visible when looking closely or zooming in.  i think that shot was at an altitude of a little under 400 feet, where most of the lower ones were somewhere around 100-150 ft.

(i had quickly edited this twice in the #instagram ios app, though there seems to be a bug where it is not applying the lux setting and most of the vibrancy is missing as the other settings were minor.  these copies are edited in the #snapseed ios app.. it’s not an exact match to what i had originally done in instagram, but looks much better than the instagram versions without the lux setting.  at some point i may stop editing (or spending as much time and effort) on the phone, as even when it does work right, the adjustments made on a tiny phone screen are not as good as i could get on the computer, and often the color or density is off since the phone screen isn’t calibrated like a computer monitor can be)

on april 6 this year i purchased my first electric vehicle, a 2016 Fiat 500e.  previously leased with very low mileage, it had a hint of new car smell to it.  it's fully electric with a smaller battery, making it a low range EV, though, by driving efficiently, one can get significantly more range between charges than the EPA rating.

in the first month of owning it, i drove a total of 1523.7 miles, averaging 5.7 mi/kWh.  at the nationwide average cost per kWh, that’s just over 2 cents per mile. even if the trip computer is optimistic and there are efficiency losses when charging the battery, it’s still under 3 cents per mile.  i did drive slowly + conservatively (and with windows down rather than air conditioning) in order to maximize efficiency to be able to go far without draining the battery too low, though even driving a bit faster or with A/C, the cost will still be far less than what it’d cost with a gas car.

with electricity being so inexpensive it opens one up to be able to explore more (and without any emissions that an internal combustion engine vehicle would have). if i would've driven all those same miles in the van i had, it would have cost me $200 more for the gas than the electricity costs.  saving a couple hundred dollars a month surely adds up.. looking at this number alone, the car will pay for itself in less than 5 years and will effectively be free. (some electric vehicles can be purchased used at a much lower price than new)

besides the financial savings, electric cars perform much better, are much quieter, have practically no maintenance, and have much less of an environmental impact than a car that burns gas or diesel.  we’re just starting the global transition to electric vehicles.. it’s exciting to be driving the future.

if you're in need of a car, i would strongly encourage you to get an electric vehicle.  besides helping prevent climate change, you'll have a much better driving experience.  some new models have bigger battery packs that can go as far as gas cars and can charge very quickly.  even with a higher initial price, a new electric car will cost less to own than a gasoline car with the savings in maintenance and gas.

my friend and i went to olympic national park after heading in to town for breakfast.  on the way up to hurricane ridge, we stopped at an overlook where a number of birds landed on my friend's arm and hand after she fed them pieces of a tortilla wrap.  there was a nice panoramic view when we got up to the top at hurricane ridge.  after taking it in for a little bit, we headed back to the nearby town and my friend showed me a spot by the water before we met one of her friend's.  we had planned to go to a full moon celebration or something that my friend wanted to go to though ended up at her friend's bar for too long, so we went with her friend to visit a couple of his friends and play games instead.  my friend offered to drive during our adventures that day.. it was a little weird to be in the passenger seat of my truck, but nice to have someone show me around the area (and get a little break from driving everywhere).

four years ago today [2012.09.26]

after a couple nights camping by the bay, i decided to head back to the cascades.  the morning was really foggy.. on the way east i went to a park that had an overlook to check out the view of the landscape below.  i made a couple other stops to check out the river and mountain views on the way back toward the wilderness.  i took the road all the way to cascade pass in north cascades national park.  on my way in, i saw a nice overlook that had a view of some of the mountain range over the cascade river.  i thought perhaps i'd stay there for a time-lapse of the stars later.  when i got to cascade pass, i saw lots of snow or ice on parts of the mountains.

i don't recall if there was a sign at cascade pass saying no camping or if i didn't think the angle would be as good for a shot of the stars.. whatever the reason, i headed back to the spot i saw earlier in the forest and parked in the little area that was there on the side of the road shortly before it got dark.  it was a little cloudy at first, though the clouds passed by after a while and i got a nice shot of the stars and moonlit mountains that night.

it was nice to have the truck camper.. it was a landscape photographer's best tool.  i recall some of the times when i'd be all set up at spots like this for a shot of the stars overnight, i'd hear or see cars going by.. they'd still have to be making their way to wherever they were staying that evening and i was already set up for the night and didn't have to go anywhere.  having a comfortable bed and all the basics with me everywhere i went was really nice.. i recall times in the past when i would sleep in the front seat of my car shooting the stars and it was quite uncomfortable (and the only amenities i might have with me would be a drink or snack, if i happened to remember to pack something). i also remember times being pretty tired and making a long drive home at night when i'd rather just be sleeping (and briefly drifting into sleep while driving). some sort of rv or camper is definitely the way to go exploring.

four years ago today [2012.09.23]

i left the campground and headed south a bit, exploring some spots along the water and stopping at some parks i found.  one park had some nice trails and an overlook of the nearby area.  after that one, i went down a winding road on a cliff by the water where i found a spot to stop for a nice view of the islands in the distance.  a little later, i drove by some houses that had a great view of one of the bays.

i think i ended up pretty close to the campground i was going to stay at the following day and spent the night on the side of the road a couple miles away.  if this is the night i'm thinking, it was part of an indian reservation (as was the campground), and i had a strange dream that woke me up in the middle of the night.  if i remember, i think i thought that someone or something had come into my camper through the tent material to attack me.. i may have felt this as i was slipping between the dream world and physical world, and that's how i was interpreting the feelings in this reality.  perhaps i was picking up on some of the energy nearby or something.  a couple times like this (and times when i would sleep in places where bears or other large animals might be) led me to think i might be better off in a hard-top camper or van so i wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of anything getting in easily.  it did feel pretty vulnerable spending the night asleep in random places where people or animals might find me.  i often would invoke the divine and surround the truck and camper in white light or blessings before drifting off to sleep, and never had any actual issues during my journey.

we must choose to embrace all perspectives, even the ones that do not make sense at first. with a deep enough look, all views can be understood.

its a bit crazy to think about how much time and energy humanity spends on things that don't really matter in the end.  so many of us spend a lot of our life pursuing goals, working hard to be able to have more things or experiences (or just survive), chasing after things we think will make us happy, or even trying to make changes and improvements to help others.. when all that really matters in life are not the achievements, things we had, nor perfect life we lived, but the heartfelt connections and cherished moments we shared.  even if one did much to improve the world or to inspire others, was one's life really meaningful if one didn't share much heartfelt connection with another?

far better to follow your heart & live authentically (and risk being seen as crazy by some with limited viewpoints), than to be trapped by conformity.  don't worry if some whom don't understand see you as a quack.. anyone's judgmentalism says much more about them than it does about you (and besides, a duck is versatile enough to walk, swim, and fly.. while many are stuck in a heard of lemmings unknowingly following mass media social programming to their own detriment).

also remember that often the line between crazy and genius is very thin.

if another presents a viewpoint in opposition to your own, rather than see them as wrong or try to defend your own view, learn to embrace the other's perspective and understand how one may have taken on that view.  when seeing and feeling others through the heart, we become more connected and can live together harmoniously, regardless of any differences in preferences or opinions that we may have.

it is time for all of us to let go of any tribalism.  while one may be interested in a particular group (and some may be really helpful in what they do), separation can easily occur through a group mentality.  the more attached one is to any particular viewpoint or group, the more prone one is to see or judge another as wrong (and the more prone one is to be manipulated by dogma, indoctrination, propaganda, or programming that can easily be introduced via the influential mechanism of the group). most people can easily see some of the division caused by people being for (or against) a certain political party, religion, sports team, nation, company, leader, technological preference, way of life, or any other sort of large group or thing that compartmentalizes people.

while one benefit that some may feel by partaking in something with like-minded people is a sense of inclusiveness, we can all easily feel this same sense of belonging through our humanity alone.  as we take our energy back from any divisive group thinking (or limited viewpoints), we can use our energy (that was previously being used to judge outsiders as wrong) to connect more openly with others.  these heartfelt connections will be much more impactful in one's life than any limited belief can give.  and if one wants to grow and ascend on a spiritual path, one must learn to embrace all viewpoints as part of the greater whole.

it is only through our individual sovereignty that we can truly gather together as one in our collective humanity.

one whom is awakened with a compassionate heart must sometimes be careful not to get caught up in negativity when helping another with lower energies.  just as one can be uplifted by sitting in the presence of a being with higher energy, one can also be influenced negatively by one with lower energy.  remember to regularly tune focus & attention to a positive, higher energy, preferably directly from the highest divine source.  especially when there is a lot of fear in the collective, keep returning to the unconditional love & peace that one finds deep within one's heart when connected to the divine.

if you’d like to see changes in the world and aren’t able to directly work on them, spend your time quietly in meditation visualizing the beautiful new world you’d like to see unfold. feel how you and others will feel when we are all living peacefully, in perfect harmony with each other and the planet. see and feel how the world will look when everyone has perfect health, abundance, and peace. see this current time as one of transition, where we collectively move away from old ways that no longer serve us, so we may create the space in which we can step into the new age that will unfold before us. the more time we collectively spend in meditation and visualizing the new world, the more quickly and gentler the transition will be.

i took my truck and camper on its first ferry ride and was on my way to the coast this day.  it was exciting to be heading further west and starting this next part of the voyage.  the ferry ride was nice and saved at least a couple hours of driving over going all the way around seattle and tacoma to the other side of the peninsula.

the town on the other side of the bay looked nice as i drove through.  i stopped at a local park and then made my way over to the dungeness national wildlife refuge before meeting a friend who lived nearby.  it was a really beautiful at the refuge.. i explored and stayed for a little while.  i remember the water making nice sounds as it washed onto and away from the rocks or shells on shore.

that evening i met my friend for dinner and then we went to a oneness meditation.  it was a little crazy that the oneness meditation was being held in such a remote area on the very day i happened to be going there.. just the day before i was curious if there'd be one somewhere along my journey, and i looked online to find out it was going to be practically right next door to where i was going the following day (and was something my friend would be interested in too). it's funny how the divine works like that.  afterwards, my friend and i gathered some firewood for a nice fire and chat back at her friend's place where she was housesitting.

i was at a campground all day this day, either working on the computer or just taking it easy.  i rode my bike and explored the campground a bit in the afternoon.  it was quite loud at times hearing jets flying.. it looks like there was a naval base nearby.  the campground had nice views of the nearby islands, and there was a little island that you could walk out to if the tide wasn't too high.  i was able to walk out there the afternoon before when i'd arrived, though the tide was higher when i went out this day.  it was interesting to see some people had permanent spots at the campgrounds.  i'd briefly thought about that to have a home base between wanderings, though preferred my own land.

if you want to see peace in the world you must choose peace. each of us individually choosing to live from a place of inner peace contributes to the collective peace we’ll see unfolding and reflected back to us in the outer world.

remember that in any given moment one is free to choose peace, regardless of the circumstances.

the more of us that choose to remain in a peaceful place at all times, the more quickly we'll see peace unfold everywhere in our collective reality.

it is up to us to individually discover inner peace so that we may see peace reflected in the outer world.

#nature #walk #trees #park #peace
have a look at the things or experiences in life that you like, and remember when you started liking them.. were you inspired by a sense of awe upon discovering it?  was the thing or experience you like something someone you knew liked or told you about?  as we examine various aspects of our life more deeply we can have a better understanding of where we're at in life, and know if any aspects of our lives that are still there are serving us where we're currently at now (or if its time to let them go as their temporary purpose no longer exists).

#nature #water #lake #sunset #sky #clouds #park
everything in this reality is only as solid or fluid as we allow it to be.  we solidify something by giving it attention, energy, thought, or belief.  as we let go of attachment to something, by no longer giving it attention, energy, thought, or belief (conscious or subconscious), we allow for it to change.  it is in this letting go of control that we re-gain our energy & power to focus on creating what we do desire.

it is time to let go of all fears of uncertainty, worries of survival, and needing for things to be a certain way (or how they used to be). as we let go of attachments we step into the present moment, and discover the beauty, peace, and perfection that is already here & now.  in freeing ourselves of fear & control, we realize how light we feel, without the past burdens we had been carrying with us everywhere we went.  with our new found energy, we can collectively meditate, pray, and create a new earth in which everyone lives in peace & perfect harmony with each other & the planet.  in this vision for a new earth, so many (if not all) of our individual struggles will cease to exist.

if anyone is afraid that the world might end up in a dark place, relax and know that there are already well more than enough of us whom have awakened & whom are aligned with the light that this won't happen.  the golden age is just around the corner, and the more of us that continue to awaken & focus on the light, the more quickly we will see signs of the golden age unfolding in the physical world.

#nature #trees #park #sunset #goldenhour #clouds #sky #lake #dusk #bikeride #relax
as human beings, the most important thing we can do right now is to come together, not in fear, blame, worry, hate, nor any other negative emotion directed toward anything out there, but rather in the peace, harmony, unconditional love, and unity that higher consciousness brings.  as more and more of us learn to transcend the conditioning of the mind, we will effortlessly step into this place where we are united as one collective being, free from any external negative influence and able to create a beautiful new earth, where all naturally live in harmony with each other and the planet.

#nature #park #walk #tree #trees #goldenhour #lookingup
at times we must learn to embrace both sides, or all views, and simultaneously expand in all directions.  through this expansion we step outside of any one limited view or persona, and into a greater, infinite perspective of who we really are.

#sunset #sky #dusk #clouds #colors #nature #lake #park
remember to practice gratitude for all you have, especially in times when you may not be feeling too well. if you’re reading this, there are most likely many others whom are worse off than you, and regardless of any struggles you may be facing, you still have much to be grateful for in this experience of life.

relax, be still, and discover the beautiful inner peace within.

all we need to do is go explore in nature to get a better understanding of life and our connection to the world.

with seemingly so much going on in the #world, #remember to take a #break from each day to #meditate or to go for a #walk in the #park. simply surrounding yourself with #trees in #nature is #healing, and the beautiful #goldenhour #light reminds us how magnificent this planet is.

also remember to practice #gratitude. some times it’s easier than others, though if we take a moment to look at our lives, there is so much to be #grateful for [like, for those of here in #florida, we can be grateful these couple days of #winter aren't nearly as cold as in many other places. if in a cold place you don’t like, find what you can enjoy about the experience, like sitting by the fire or the magical feeling of the first snowfall of the season]. by shifting our energy to one of gratitude and appreciation, we'll begin to see more positive experiences show up in our lives.

i met a couple old friends at the arboretum this past saturday.  when i was surrounded by nature waiting for them that morning, i remembered why i got the van.  having a tiny home with me whenever i go exploring, especially to beautiful places, is certainly nice.  it may be small, though being able to go on more adventures and longer journeys is pretty awesome.  i've been so busy lately that i've barely taken it out wandering to new places.  sometimes you just gotta get up and go regardless of whether everything is ready or not.

after my friends left, i took a nap in the van and spent the rest of the afternoon in the arboretum.  it was great to have a comfy bed with me rather than having to drive to one when i was tired.  near the end of the day, it started raining and i got to experience how nice it was to be inside the van and simply be able to hop into the driver's seat without having to run around outside and get wet (like i would've had to do when in my truck camper).

i spent the night in the parking lot at my friend's office, which wasn't too exciting but a place nearby i could stay undisturbed.  sunday morning i decided to go back to the arboretum and spent the whole day there, again until when it closed at dusk.  i drove to a quiet spot that was the furthest from the nearby highways and spent a lot of the day in the van with all the doors open, letting a breeze pass through most of the time.  it was nice to experience having a tiny home in the middle of nature.  i look forward to when i have my own land and a larger tiny home in nature for when i'm not traveling.

some shots on the journey from florida to chicagoland [2017.07.12 - 2017.07.20]

on the first day of the drive north, i took a detour toward orlando to check out some tiny homes and meet a friend whom i hadn't seen in years. it was nice to see her, meet her husband, and feel inspired to go back to the avatar course in the future. after chatting for a bit, i left to make my way toward my cousin's place just outside atlanta, sleeping in a parking lot between a hotel and restaurant on the way up as it was late and i was getting tired. it was good to take the break, as in the morning i got to see the rolling hill landscape that i would've missed driving at night. atlanta had good food and a nice feel to the city (and neighboring towns/burbs) with winding roads, hills, and many trees that were much more pleasant than a typical city grid.

after spending a few days with my cousin, i visited a friend near chattanooga and met her family. we walked the long pedestrian bridge over the river and checked out part of the city, which also had a nice feel to it. i then stopped by the isha center in tennessee on my way toward chicagoland. when i arrived, i was a little surprised when the girl at the welcome center told me i could go to the meditation/ceremony that was starting soon (i thought i had missed it as i forgot i crossed into the central time zone on the way there.. my phone wasn't getting service most of the whole trip so still showed eastern time). the dinner hall was nice as everyone ate in silence. afterward, i sat by a small garden area and enjoyed the peacefulness of the grounds.

the next day, i discovered a wilderness preserve on my way toward kentucky and explored there for a bit. i also explored around the land between the lakes national recreation area. i was thinking of staying there overnight though i couldn't find the spot i had discovered a few years earlier, and there was still plenty of daylight left, so i headed toward garden of the gods in southern illinois. i was going to stay there, though i was feeling pretty sweaty as it was a hot day and i had been driving with the windows open the whole day. not having plumbing installed yet, i walked a little bit of the trail, took a few photos, had a snack, and decided to drive the rest of the way to my friend's place so i could shower before going to sleep. i also figured there'd be no traffic driving the small country roads up the state at night. by the time i went to sleep, the early morning light of the next day was beginning to show and i had been up for almost 24 hours straight without a nap.

the van build isn't fully complete yet, so the journey was shorter and with less stops along the way than it would've been, though i still decided to take back roads the whole way. i more than doubled the number of miles on the van on the trip up. the trip meter for the drive up read 1547.5 miles with a little over 35.5 hours of driving. per the meter, i averaged 19.7 mpg the whole trip, and i saw right around 22 mpg for the last tank (and when i had cruise control at 57 mph) which i was pretty happy with (though i'll have to determine how accurate the trip meter calculation is).

more than once during the trip i had just enough gas to make it to the next town that had a gas station. luckily that last night something told me to call the gas station on my way there (and i actually had a signal to do so).. they ended up leaving the pumps on a few extra minutes for me to get there as they were about to close. i ended up going a couple miles past the 0 miles range left indicator too. if i hadn't called, i would have had to sleep at the gas station all night until it opened the next morning or risk attempting to drive to the next one miles away without knowing if i had enough fuel to make it. sometimes navigation was a bit tricky without a phone signal to download the map data, though besides not finding the one spot in the recreation area (which i didn't remember exactly where it was anyhow), i managed to make my way pretty much on course until i got enough of a signal to find towns that had gas stations. luckily i usually didn't have to go too long without a signal before i got one where i could start the turn by turn directions (which downloaded all the data needed for my route to the next stop, so it'd continue to work even when i lost a signal). it was also nice that the google maps app was able to provide navigation solely via local roads.

this day i left my truck and camper behind as i boarded a ship to spend a day in canada.  my friend had told me about the ferry that went from the nearby town to victoria and i decided to check it out.  i got up at dawn and made it just in time to board before the first ship left.  i think i was a little worried leaving my truck and camper all day in the middle of a town i didn't know.  i literally was leaving the country and leaving everything (except one camera and my phone) behind in the truck camper.  i had all of my data with me as i had carried it to chicagoland for the summer.. pretty much my whole life was in there.

when i got to canada and handed them my passport, they pulled me off to the side for a minute to check it before stamping it.  perhaps i looked strange as a guy entering their country alone, carrying nothing, and being so far from home.  i walked a little around the downtown area in victoria and then made my way over to beacon hill park where i could see the olympic mountains back in the united states.  at this park i remember overhearing or speaking with a girl who worked there who had a nice canadian accent.  i then found a local restaurant and had lunch before going back to another park on the water.  i explored there and circled around along the water back to the port to wait for the next ferry to arrive.  after taking the long ferry ride back to the states, i got back in my truck and camper and headed a little west to find a spot in or near olympic park where i could park for the night before it got dark.

sleeping under the stars, i awoke in the forest to the sounds of the river below with a view of the cascades in the distance.  it was amazing to wake up in such beautiful places in the middle of nature.  this was definitely one of my favorite parts of living life on the road.

after leaving the forest, it was either pretty foggy or smoky.  i headed west and spent a night at another campground before i'd be taking the ferry toward the coast the following day.  i went for a walk and explored the path that went to a creek behind the campground while there.  i had a nice wooded spot in the back, though it was a little loud being right by the interstate.. just a little bit different than the nice morning in the forest.  if you live in a city or haven't been out to nature in a while, make some time to go soon.. it's so calming and healing, and just beautiful and amazing to be somewhere so peaceful, quiet, and natural.

waking up on the side of the road, i went for a ride shortly after the sun rose.  there was a nice haze and fog in the early morning.  i parked next to a field for breakfast and then headed over to a nearby park.  i either took a nap or worked on the computer before going for a walk.  after exploring the park and adjacent bridge, i headed over to the campground i'd be staying at for a couple of nights.

it looks like i spent a good number of nights at the campgrounds once i got to washington.. i don't recall if i needed to work a lot and was there for the internet and a place i could sleep undisturbed, or if i wanted to just check out the various campgrounds and see what life there would be like before heading to the coast to explore.  it was probably a combination of both.. when planning my route to the west coast, i was thinking of heading towards most of the campgrounds as i made my way around.
