2012 December

I don’t have to do anything.

It’s quite a liberating feeling to realize that.

You decide what to do.

No one else tells you to.

You don’t do things because you feel you have to.

(unless of course you decide to experience it like that)

You decide everything

wow, i paused as soon as i typed that and was about to type whatever the next part of that was. it was amazing to actually realize and feel that I do decide everything. and then to realize well what am i doing here? if i decide it all and i haven’t been happy with everything, why not step into my power and make a change. that’s all you gotta do. step into your own power and make change occur in your life. it’s very simple.

feeling helpless doesn’t get anywhere. waiting for the world to change doesn’t get you anywhere either. you step up to the plate with the bat, and strike a home run. it’s your choice. go home feeling like a loser or become the champion you know you can be. just by deciding.

it’s your life. what are you waiting for to play the game?

it feels good to know you can play the game. it feels good to feel alive. it feels good to feel. to be.

i think my new favorite word shall be aliveness.

it just radiates out energy.

a greater sense of aliveness is what we all seek.

choose it. live it. be it.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

- Rumi

If my words say one thing yet my feelings another, all I have to do is match both up to really be effective at communication. Just gotta implement that simple fix… speak authentically and others will truly feel it and understand.. the actual words say very little except to the mind that attempts to interpret them. But the mind is limited to its own filters and limited perceptions. It will never feel it like the heart. Only the heart can truly understand.

The Awakened One listens.
The unawakened one interprets.

Paradise or Oblivion

This video presentation advocates a new socio-economic system, which is updated to present-day knowledge, featuring the life-long work of Social Engineer, Futurist, Inventor and Industrial Designer Jacque Fresco, which he calls a Resource-Based Economy. This documentary details the root causes of the systemic value disorders and detrimental symptoms caused by our current established system. The film details the need to outgrow the dated and inefficient methods of politics, law, business, or any other “establishment” notions of human affairs, and use the methods of science, combined with high technology, to provide for the needs of all the world’s people. It is not based on the opinions of the political and financial elite or on illusionary so-called democracies, but on maintaining a dynamic equilibrium with the planet that could ultimately provide abundance for all people.

Paradise or Oblivion, by The Venus Project, introduces the viewer to a more appropriate value system that would be required to enable this caring and holistic approach to benefit human civilization. This alternative surpasses the need for a monetary-based, controlled, and scarcity-oriented environment, which we find ourselves in today.

This is NOT the “major motion picture” that The Venus Project is working towards but rather is a short documentary to introduce the aims and proposals to new people.

It seems that when we stay present, in feeling, everything works out perfectly. Even if it seems that we did something we didn’t think we’d normally do, or that wasn’t us. By following our heart, our feeling, we pick up on exactly what others need, without even knowing it. By following our feelings and simply doing what our intuition or feeling tells us to in the moment, we bring to light exactly what someone else needs to see or experience. […]

You are very powerful. Your mind is the only thing getting in the way of all possibility. Let go of your own self-imposed limitations and you will realize a greatness you never knew.

Experiencing Alone Remains – Sri Bhagavan

“Therefore, what is there is merely the experience, the experiencer is gone. There is merely seeing, the seer is gone. There is merely the thought, the thinker is gone. There is merely what is there, we are gone. And with that existential suffering goes away. Even if this should happens only for 5 minutes, you have such a powerful insight that you do not exist.”

~ Sri Bhagavan

‎…I felt like I could say one thing to one person, and a different thing to another, all at the same time. Like one person would pick up on one part of the communication, and the other would pick up on the second part, without either knowing it. Its like I could sneak in an extra message subliminaly. And it was because I didn’t want to say what I was really feeling, so I’d have someone else say it instead […]

The Futility of All Effort on the Spiritual Path – Sri Bhagavan

“Man cannot make it on his own; it has to be given to him.” ~ Sri Bhagavan

On another occasion, Sri Bhagavan gave the following answer:

”If you would realize that there is nothing you could do about it, that is the beginning of love. In spirituality, the moment you realize there is nothing you could do about it, that is the beginning of all spiritual growth. As long as you keep trying you will never ever get there because that trying is the problem.

That trying is the thing which takes you away from where you want to be. You have to realize the futility of all effort in the inner world. All effort on the spiritual path is futile. If you could realize that, it could hit you like a ton of bricks and then all effort ceases. The moment effort is gone, there is love, and there is peace. But as long as you keep struggling you keep putting in some effort you will move further away.

If you want to discover love and you put in some effort, you will move further away from love. If you want peace and you put in some effort, you would move further away from peace because that very effort is the disturbance, the noise. You have to realize that futility of effort.”

Process of Dying and Moksha (liberation upon death) – Sri Bhagavan

If you ask for liberation (moksha), the beauty is that no matter what has happened in your life, the Light cannot say “no”!

~ Sri Bhagavan

Here are a few more voices on the same subject:

Dying is easy,
believe me, it is like
blissful dreaming.
Vast becomes the space . . .
in shorelessly drifting felicity
you give yourself back
to the Primal Ocean.

~ Ephides

Nobody dies, death means finished; for example, a drop of water when it evaporates has become infinite. There is no death for anything, everything finishes to become infinite.

~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

At death there is only liberation. It’s just more chic to see liberation while you’re alive.

~ Max Furlaud

Everything that comes from birth undoes itself in liberation.

~ Jen Smith

Here. You are there already. You are in Nirvana. You are like a fish claiming it is thirsty. You are right in the middle of it. Here. Here.

~ Janwillem van de Wetering

Die before you die and be completely dead; then do whatever you want, it’s all good.

~ Wu Men

Empty yourself of everything. Let the mind rest at peace.
The ten thousand things rise and fall while the Self watches their return. They grow and flourish and then return to the source. Returning to the source is stillness, which is the way of nature.

~ Lao Tzu

All things emerge from that silence, and return to that silence. You, too, would eventually merge into that silence from which you emerged in the first instance.

~ Sri Bhagavan

Everything ends in mystery . . .

~ Heraclitus

Meaning of “Oneness” (audio 7)

There was once a man who became unstuck in the world – he realized that he was not his car, he realized that he was not his job, he was not his phone, his desk or his shoes. Like a boat cut from its anchor, he’d begin to drift.

There was once a man who became unstuck in the world – he took the wind for a map, he took the sky for a clock, and he set off with no destination. He was never lost.

There once was a man who became unstuck in the world – instead of hooks or a net, he threw himself into the sea. He was never thirsty.

There was once a man who became unstuck in the world – with a polaroid camera he made pictures of all the people he met, and then he gave all the pictures away. He would never forget their faces.

There was once a man who became unstuck in the world – and each person he met became a little less stuck themselves. He traveled only with himself and he was never alone.

There was once a man who’d become unstuck in the world – and he traveled around like a leaf in the wind until he reached the place where he started out. His car, his job, his phone, his shoes – everything was right where he’d left it. Nothing had changed, and yet he felt excited to have arrived here – as if this were the place he’d been going all along.

[in response to the facebook comment “I like what Harry Palmer suggests. Choose to believe whatever feels good to you. :)” by my friend Matt after my post: “is this experience we call life merely a pit stop (we decided to make/experience) in an infinite loop/journey?”]

yes, that’s a pretty good suggestion :) though sometimes I enjoy pondering what it’s all about, despite what it may feel like in the moment. I had a vision of what it might be like to travel between dimensions (that aligned with an experience I had where it felt like I left my body and identified with my spirit form)… this led to the question above as, though a slightly different perspective than my experience, it seemed like in the same manner we can leave this dimension/reality and enter another. and from that other dimension, we could easily leave again and enter yet another, etc. it’s like we’ve just decided to show up in this reality by entering this dimension and choosing to stay for a while until we experience what we’re here to experience. at that point, we easily choose to leave.. and the infinite part seemed as it’s all connected (and concurrent) and we could come back to this dimension again should we choose, or continue on to infinite other universes if we desire. it’s like i understood how dimensions/realities/universes were connected from both sides (inner and outer).. entire universes exist within each of us, and our entire universe exists within another being/creator/consciousness. not sure if this makes total sense — it was only a brief glimpse of an idea/understanding that occurred in a single moment — and the mind can’t quite describe a feeling although it often wants to be able to share the beauty it’s discovered!
