this took a little longer to launch and after the first flight i saw the camera was off when it landed, so had to relaunch to create the time-lapse movie, though I had another successful flight with 1000 feet of line.. I estimate the maximum altitude was close to 900 feet above ground a few times when the winds lifted the kite higher.. you can see Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island in the distance, and hints of the Bayside Bridge too.. when looking closely at the still shots [of images shot when the wind pointed the camera southeast], I can see the Tampa skyline in the far distance [and it’s 20 miles away!] .. if you have a high resolution screen, you can try pausing the time-lapse when the camera shifts to the left to see if you can notice the tiny buildings on the horizon. hmm, the other day after my first flight with 1000 feet of line, i was thinking 1000 ft would be enough, though now i’m curious what kind of views i can get with 2000 or 3000 feet of line!
